Barbeque Competition Registration Deadline: July 11th
What's Happening
Friday Evening
Friday evening events begin with the Team Cook's meeting at 6 pm. Our Desserts competition has been well received in the past and we're adding Hors d'oeuvres to the Friday lineup this year. Judges will come to your Pit where you will serve them your entries--visiting allowed! All judges who are judging Friday night will stop by and visit your Pit after Dessert judging has concluded if they did not judge either of your two entries previously.
We hope the competition will be something you might enjoy and for the extra $25 entry fee you have a chance to win some of the $550 in prize monies that will be awarded. NOTE: These contests do not count toward Grand and Reserve Grand Champion awards.
These are two fun competitions and we're encouraging you to have a little more fun by decorating your Pit with a theme or gimmick for a chance to win a $100 prize for the Best Decorated.

Saturday
Saturday will see Certified Judging of the four KCBS required events as well as our Sausage and Cook's Choice categories. This year's Cook's Choice category will be POULTRY (last year was open; the year before--beef).
This is an open class and you are allowed choice of garnish and open presentation such as veggies, etc. but only the poultry will be judged.
The Sausage category must have competition garnish and no side items but may include what would otherwise be considered "foreign" ingredients in competition (cheese, jalapenos, etc.).
Again, for an extra $25 entry fee, you have a chance to win a share of $550 in additional prize money plus the Friday night events.

Friday judging begins at 8 pm and will be done by area certified judges and community sponsor representatives. Saturday judging begins at 11 am and will be done by all certified judges (depending upon availability).

You may change your selections for divisions up until 5 pm Friday after which the competitions will be finalized.
